1997: 1/31-2/2 "The Friday on or after Jan 28": The Zora Neale Hurston
Festival of Arts and Humanities is held in her birthblace, Eatonville, FL.
On the outskirts of Orlando, Eatonville was the 1st (some dispute this but
who cares?) US black township, incorporated 1887 & still independent.
There's Burns, of course, but not many folklorists get a Festival that is
celebrated by virtually every citizen & building of their home town.
